01What this policy covers
idoc.site hosts several different things, and they do not all behave the same way. This policy covers:
- The public site — the landing page and any page you can read without signing in.
- The signed-in applications hosted here, in general terms. See section 05.
It does not cover our Android apps, which each publish their own policy — see section 06 — nor any third-party site we link to.
02The public site
You do not need an account to read anything on the public pages, and we do not ask you to identify yourself.
As with any website, the server that delivers these pages keeps standard access logs — the request, the time, the browser's user agent and the originating IP address. These are used to keep the site running and secure, and to understand roughly how much it is used. We may also use a web analytics service to count visits and page views in aggregate.
If you email us, we keep your message and your address for as long as it takes to deal with it.
04Embedded content
Some pages embed material hosted elsewhere — most often video from YouTube, and web fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads one of these, your browser contacts that provider directly, and the provider can see that request. Their handling of it is governed by their own policy, not ours. For Google, that is policies.google.com/privacy.
05The signed-in applications
Several applications run on this domain and its subdomains — among them OptiVision EMR, the Retinal Therapy Unit planner, Retina Squad Academy, Yes We Can and A2Z. These require an account, and some of them hold clinical information.
Where an application is operated for a clinic, hospital or other institution, that institution is the controller of the data inside it. It is held under their governance, their retention rules and their legal obligations, and it is not used for any purpose of ours. If you are a patient and want to know what is held about you, ask the clinic or hospital treating you.
Where you created the account yourself, the data is yours; you can ask us to delete it using the contact details below.
06Our Android apps
Each app published by Meteorosis Labs on Google Play carries its own privacy policy, because each one handles data differently. The current policies are:
- Quit Vaping: Taper & Track — collects nothing, requests no internet permission.
Where an app stores everything on your device and never transmits it, we hold nothing about you at all, and there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete.
07How long we keep things
Server access logs are kept only as long as they are useful for security and operations. Email correspondence is kept while it is relevant. Data inside an institutional application is kept according to that institution's retention policy. Data inside an account you created yourself is kept until you ask us to remove it.
08Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for a copy, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the address in section 11 and we will respond.
For data held inside an application operated by a clinic or institution, direct the request to that institution — they control it, and we cannot release it on their behalf.
09Children
The public site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Some applications hosted here are used in paediatric care; in those cases the data is handled by the treating institution under its own safeguards.
10Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
